Apiculture

History
For the first time, students were admitted to the Department of Plant and Animal Production, which was established in 1994, within the scope of the beekeeping program in the 1994-1995 academic year.

Aim
The beekeeping program continues its activities with the necessary tools and equipment (artificial insemination device, microscopes, materials necessary for beekeeping) in order for our students to grow up in the field of beekeeping and become well-equipped beekeepers. To provide beekeeping education in accordance with universal standards, to carry out scientific research at international level, to train technical personnel who are competent in research and development required by our country's research centers and industry, agricultural research institutes and local beekeeping people, and have laboratory and theoretical knowledge at a level that will contribute to the production of technology and knowledge.

Graduation Requirements
The ECTS of the student who will graduate from our department must be at least 120 and it is compulsory for the students to take the Vocational Internship course.

Internship
Program students can complete their internships in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, other relevant public institutions, as well as in enterprises that produce beekeeping and bee products in the private sector.

Graduate Employment
Graduates of our department can work as technicians in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, other relevant public institutions, as well as in many enterprises that produce beekeeping and bee products in the private sector.

Housing
There are many dormitories and rental flats in Ula or Muğla for the accommodation needs of our students.

Socio-cultural Areas
Our school is at the service of cafeteria, canteen, basketball court, volleyball court and carpet field. In addition, there is an indoor sports hall, swimming pool, football field and tennis courts, which the entire office is open to use during the flight of our university.

* Those who are allergic to bee stings may encounter health problems during and after the education.
