Construction Technology

History
The Department of Construction has been operating within the body of Muğla Vocational School in the years before it started to accept students at Ula Ali Koçman Vocational School, and has been continuing its education activities at Ula Ali Koçman Vocational School since the 2019-2020 academic year.

Aim
The main goal of the program is to train technical intermediate staff who can use the practical and theoretical knowledge gained during their education, actively benefit from the necessary modern techniques and calculation tools, have the skills of experimenting, designing and interpreting the results, who can draw architectural and static projects in the computer environment, prepare and present reports, and enable the realization of construction projects in the manufacturing environment.

Academic Staff
1 Assistant Professor and 2 lecturers work in department.

Graduation Requirements In order for a student to graduate from the Construction Technology Program, they must take 120 ECTS courses in total, have a GPA of at least 2.00, and complete a compulsory summer internship for a total of 20 working days.

Internship
Our students can do their internship in the units affiliated to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, General Directorate of Highways and State Hydraulic Works, relevant units of municipalities, private construction companies operating in the free market, and engineering-architecture project bureaus.

Graduate Employment
Graduates of this department receive the title of CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN. Graduates of the Construction Technology Program who successfully complete this program;
>  have the ability to draw architectural, static or site plans and architectural details in all construction and project offices operating under free market conditions, and to calculate the quantity and progress payment. For this reason, they can work in project bureaus.
>  can take part in the positions of technical control and site supervisor in superstructure and infrastructure construction sites. They provide coordination between engineers, architects and construction workers. By supervising the implementation of the projects, they can take part in the quantity and progress payment calculations.
> can take samples, analyze and prepare reports in cement, concrete and soil mechanics laboratories, they can work in these laboratories.
>  can work as production staff and laboratory staff in cement factories and concrete plants.
>  have the opportunity to work in public institutions with the title of construction technician.
>  have a wide working area such as building inspection companies, local administrations, manufacturers and sellers of building materials, concrete plants, contracting companies, decoration companies.

Housing
There are many dormitories and rental flats in Ula or Muğla for the accommodation needs of our students.

Socio-cultural Areas
Our school is at the service of cafeteria, canteen, basketball court, volleyball court and carpet field. In addition, there is an indoor sports hall, swimming pool, football field and tennis courts, which the entire office is open to use during the flight of our university.
