Food Quality Control and Analysis

History
The Food Processing Department was opened in 2013, received its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year and gave its first graduates at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year.

Aim
The main goal of the program is to train employees who can determine whether the workplaces that produce and sell foodstuffs and substances and materials in contact with food have minimum technical and hygienic conditions and their compliance with the legislation, as well as all the processes that start with the sampling process and check the compliance with the desired specifications at the end of that production.

Academic Staff
1 professor, 1 associate professor and 3 teaching assistant doctors work in the department.

Graduation Requirements
In order for a student to graduate from the Food Quality Control and Analysis Program, a total of 120 ECTS courses must be taken, a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00, and a compulsory summer internship of 20 working days in total must be completed.

Internship
Our students can do internships at the General Directorate of Food Control laboratories affiliated to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, provincial and district organizations of agricultural enterprises, TUBITAK, special laboratories related to food control, private food enterprises, customs, Meat and Fish Institutions and food-related enterprises.

Graduate Employment
Graduates of this department receive the title of FOOD QUALITY CONTROL AND ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN. Food Quality Control and Analysis Program graduates can be employed in the places as follows
> In the Laboratories of Food Engineering Faculties,
> Food Hygiene and Technology Research-Application Laboratories of Veterinary Faculties,
> In the Nutrition and Dietetics Department Laboratories of Health Sciences Faculties,
> They Research-Application Laboratories of the Agricultural Biotechnology Department of the Faculty of Agriculture.

Housing
There are many dormitories and rental flats in Ula or Muğla for the accommodation needs of our students.

Socio-cultural Areas
Our school is at the service of cafeteria, canteen, basketball court, volleyball court and carpet field. In addition, there is an indoor sports hall, swimming pool, football field and tennis courts, which the entire office is open to use during the flight of our university.
